Severe Conditions

During the past ice season more than 800 FDDs were accumulated in Peshnoi area which makes it a severe winter. First ice appeared in beginning of December although freeze-up took place closer to the end of December. Extensive freeze-up took place through January. Ice cover and volume has reached its maximum by end of January and remained on that level until end of February. Break-up started in the beginning of March. The ice has lasted until beginning of April.
