During the past ice season more than 550 FDDs were accumulated in Peshnoi area which makes it a moderate winter.
First ice appeared only during the last day of November. The growth of ice was ongoing through December with only minor thawing period in the end of month. By second half of January ice cover has reached about 75-80%. Maximum ice volume of about 18 cubic kilometers was reached in the end of month. Conditions were stable until middle of February when break-up started. Ice cover was thawing through March and disappeared by end of month. The season duration was about 120 days which is an average value through history of observations.
